Responsibilities
- Threat Detection: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence feeds.
- Incident Response: Investigate and mitigate security incidents to minimize downtime and data exposure.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT and engineering teams to implement secure infrastructure solutions and patch management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC or Security Analyst role.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
