Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations on security breaches using EnCase/FTK tools
- Develop and maintain security policies aligned with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems
- Generate executive-level security reports and threat intelligence briefings
- Lead phishing simulation campaigns and employee security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with threat detection and incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (required)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Ability to work under pressure during critical security incidents
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
