Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents with minimal downtime.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across the organization.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and security trends to recommend proactive defenses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and EDR tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to security incidents 24/7.
