Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with 24/7 on-call rotation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence analysis
- Assist in compliance audits for NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS frameworks
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS/Azure security services)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and protocols
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Relevant bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
