Responsibilities
- Incident Response: Monitor security alerts and respond to threats in real-time using SIEM tools to mitigate risks and minimize downtime.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems before malicious actors exploit them.
- Access Control: Manage and enforce identity and access management (IAM) protocols, ensuring only authorized personnel have access to sensitive data.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA by maintaining accurate documentation and conducting audits.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and encryption protocols.
- Training & Awareness: Conduct security awareness training for staff to foster a culture of security within the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH preferred. Active DoD Secret clearance is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Splunk, Splunk), firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point), and endpoint protection.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen due to contract requirements.
