Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security breaches, perform forensic analysis, and document incident reports.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure network architecture and data flows.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Active Security Clearance (e.g., Secret/Top Secret) is a plus.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are required.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in security tools like Splunk, FireEye, or Snort.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 monitoring environment.
