Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM platforms to detect and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on internal and external networks.
- Analyze security logs and incident reports to identify patterns and root causes of security breaches.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and execute incident response plans to mitigate the impact of security incidents.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
- Provide security training and awareness guidance to staff members regarding phishing and social engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network administration.
- Certifications preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or SANS GIAC.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as Splunk, Snort, or Wireshark.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid US work authorization and ability to pass a background check.
