Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate security breaches using forensic tools and methodologies
- Develop incident response reports with actionable remediation steps
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Document security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and attack vectors
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on incident response experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, packet analysis (Wireshark), and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
