Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and investigate potential cyber threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and risk assessments to maintain a secure network environment.
- Respond to security incidents and alerts with urgency, executing incident response plans to mitigate damage.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve system resilience.
- Document security protocols, incident reports, and compliance requirements accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network administration.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in security tools such as Splunk, Snort, or Nessus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
