Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM environment in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Enforce strict compliance with internal policies, NIST, and ISO 27001 security standards.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to implement robust security protocols and remediation strategies.
- Document security incidents, threats, and resolution procedures for future reference.
Qualifications
- Current CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a SOC, Network Security, or Incident Response role.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common attack vectors (phishing, malware, ransomware).
- Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, SIEM, Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and Endpoint Detection (EDR).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
