Responsibilities
- Conduct real-time security monitoring and threat detection using SIEM tools
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Incident response coordination including malware analysis and containment
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence
- Document security policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations background
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools (Metasploit, Nmap)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
- Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government)
