Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events via SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before malicious actors exploit them.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware analysis, phishing investigations, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation in accordance with NIST and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with IT engineering teams to implement security controls and harden system configurations.
- Perform regular security audits and logs analysis to ensure continuous monitoring and rapid incident response.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain necessary security clearance.
