Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and prepare detailed incident reports
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client environments
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC or threat detection environments
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (CompTIA)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure situations
