Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools and security alerts 24/7 to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop mitigation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across environments
- Analyze malware and anomalous activities using advanced security tools
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Provide security awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and Windows/Linux environments
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
