Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and techniques
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate emerging threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and security dashboards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Stay current on evolving cyber threats and countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC roles
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and security architectures
- Professional certifications (Security+, CEH, or SANS GIAC preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
