Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk or Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and malware analysis to contain threats.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in a SOC environment or information security role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency in using security tools (e.g., FireEye, CrowdStrike, Snort).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
