Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct threat hunting and incident response activities to mitigate security breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and communicate complex concepts clearly
