Responsibilities
- Security Operations: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, cyber incidents, and malware outbreaks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and manage patch management cycles to reduce system exposure.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards through internal audits and policy enforcement.
- Threat Intelligence: Research and analyze emerging cyber threats to proactively update defense strategies.
- Access Control: Manage user access rights and perform regular reviews of privileged accounts to prevent unauthorized access.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or information security role.
- Tech Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
