Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities and anomalies
- Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards for stakeholders
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat hunting techniques
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
