Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Incident response coordination including threat containment, eradication, and recovery
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for leadership and compliance purposes
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with network security protocols and firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex security data
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
