In this position, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and global partners to identify emerging trends, forecast technological disruptions, and develop actionable strategies that position Nexus as an industry leader. You'll have direct influence on multi-million dollar innovation budgets and access to cutting-edge research facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic technology forecasting for 2026+ landscape, analyzing AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Develop and execute innovation roadmaps aligning with long-term business objectives
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs for emerging tech exploration
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage cross-functional teams in rapid prototyping and POC development
- Monitor global tech policies and regulatory shifts affecting innovation landscapes
- Drive thought leadership through white papers and industry conference presentations
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in futurism or emerging tech roles
- Proven track record in launching successful technology transformation initiatives
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, quantum, etc.)
- Executive presence with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment frameworks
- Prior leadership in Fortune 500 or high-growth tech environment
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight or innovation
