- Drive cross-functional collaboration between physics, computer science, and engineering teams
- Secure $5M+ annual research grants through compelling technical proposals
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Establish industry partnerships with quantum software startups and cloud providers
- Shape the global quantum research agenda through IEEE/ACM committee involvement
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in quantum hardware development (superconducting/photonic systems)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in quantum computing with 50+ citations
- Experience securing federal grants (NSF/DOE/DARPA) or corporate R&D funding
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks for quantum-classical hybrid systems
