Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-year innovation roadmaps for next-gen technologies
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum, AI, biotech) and commercialization opportunities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with $10M+ annual budgets
- Partner with C-suite to align innovation with business strategy
- Build and manage a global network of academic and industry research partners
- Present strategic findings to investors and board members
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or fusion energy
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary R&D teams of 15+ professionals
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
