Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technological and societal trends to identify disruptive opportunities for 2026+ market leadership
- Develop comprehensive innovation roadmaps integrating quantum computing, neural interfaces, and climate adaptation technologies
- Lead cross-disciplinary 'Future Labs' with engineers, ethicists, and policymakers to prototype next-generation solutions
- Present visionary frameworks to C-suite executives and board members with compelling data-driven narratives
- Establish global partnerships with academic institutions and R&D hubs to accelerate breakthrough innovations
- Anticipate regulatory and ethical implications of emerging technologies to ensure responsible development
- Create annual 'State of 2026' reports benchmarking our progress against future benchmarks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Future Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field; PhD strongly preferred
- 7+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurism consulting
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, nanotech, synthetic biology) and their societal impacts
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5-10 year innovation roadmaps
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex future scenarios to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology ethics (white papers, TED talks, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning tools and horizon scanning methodologies
