Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and sustainable tech
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing prototype solutions for next-gen markets
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and emerging tech startups
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Develop patent portfolios and intellectual property strategies for future-facing innovations
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders on emerging market opportunities
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human augmentation technologies
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record in developing commercialized technologies with 3+ year market impact
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or synthetic biology
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience securing $5M+ in R&D funding or venture capital for innovation initiatives
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies (FDA, FCC, etc.)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful productization of futuristic concepts
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (CFP) or equivalent preferred
