What You Will Do:
As a Weekend Software Engineer, you will be the first line of defense and the primary architect for our weekend maintenance windows. Your work ensures the seamless integration of new features and the stability of our core products.
Responsibilities
- Monitor system health, logs, and metrics during off-peak hours to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Execute complex database migrations, code deployments, and patch management on weekends.
- Triage and resolve escalated production incidents with speed and precision.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and quality assurance for weekend releases.
- Collaborate with the Product and QA teams to define sprint goals for the upcoming week.
- Document technical runbooks and incident reports for the engineering team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Go.
- Experience with AWS/GCP and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MongoDB).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
