Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Oversee and execute routine maintenance tasks, patch management, and security updates on weekends to minimize downtime during business hours.
- Code Deployment: Deploy new features and hotfixes to production environments using CI/CD pipelines, ensuring zero downtime.
- Debugging & Support: Monitor system health and troubleshoot critical issues that arise during off-peak hours.
- Database Management: Perform database backups, index optimization, and data integrity checks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation for all weekend operations and incident reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the core engineering team to align on release schedules and technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of professional software development experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is highly preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical processes.
