Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-availability microservices using Python, Java, and Go
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes for weekend deployments
- Optimize database performance for PostgreSQL and MongoDB in cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies for sprint planning
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting during weekend operational windows
- Contribute to technical documentation and API specifications
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development with weekend shift flexibility
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design patterns
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka)
- Expertise in version control (Git) and branching strategies
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
