Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) dashboards for suspicious activity on equity options trading systems during off-hours.
- Execute and validate weekend patching cycles for network devices, firewalls, and trading terminals to prevent downtime.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments on third-party financial software integrations.
- Respond to and triage security incidents escalated from the SOC during weekend operations.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to FINRA and SEC regulations regarding data protection.
- Document all security events and generate weekly reports for the senior leadership team.
Qualifications
- Active CISSP, CISM, or Security+ certification (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity, specifically within the Financial Services or Equity Trading sector.
- Deep understanding of Equity Options market dynamics and the specific security protocols required for high-frequency trading (HFT) environments.
- Must be available to work a rotating Weekend Shift (e.g., Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday).
- Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automated security reporting.
