Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and usability testing across Hawaii's diverse demographics
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web/mobile applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Develop design systems and maintain UI component libraries
- Analyze user behavior data to iterate on design solutions
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback
- Ensure WCAG compliance for accessibility standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of UX/UI design experience with portfolio showcasing Hawaii-based projects preferred
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field
- Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-platform best practices
- Experience with user journey mapping and information architecture
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate design rationale
- Comfortable with flexible work arrangements and self-directed projects
