Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery testing, and data restoration procedures
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues with minimal downtime
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting (PowerShell/Bash)
- Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless IT operations
- Document system configurations, procedures, and maintenance logs
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Windows Server administration (2016/2019)
- Proficiency in Linux system administration (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker)
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours for system maintenance windows
