Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance, logs, and application health during the weekend shift to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Execute and manage the deployment of critical patches and updates to production environments.
- Debug and resolve high-priority technical issues reported by internal teams or clients.
- Conduct code reviews for off-hours maintenance scripts to ensure security and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to document technical findings and handover status reports.
- Automate repetitive maintenance tasks to reduce manual intervention and errors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Go).
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL) and API integration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Availability to work a rotating weekend schedule.
