Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments and cloud infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime
- Manage network security protocols, firewalls, and access controls
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell/Python and scripting tools
- Oversee backup/disaster recovery solutions and compliance protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integrations and upgrades
- Document procedures and provide technical guidance to junior staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years administering Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
