Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and systems for suspicious activities, intrusions, or vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks.
- Respond to security incidents and provide detailed post-incident analysis and reporting.
- Assist in the configuration and management of firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs.
- Collaborate with the IT team to enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT operations.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) and log analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for security reporting.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while maintaining high productivity.
