Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Cisco Prime
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integrity
- Perform regular security audits and implement security protocols
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for complex network problems
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Network Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network equipment
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with network monitoring tools and automation
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional on-site support
- Ability to work flexible hours including emergency call-outs
