Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before malicious actors do.
- Investigate security breaches, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation for NIST and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network defense.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with cloud security technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
