Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) alerts and respond to security incidents occurring during the weekend shift.
- Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk assessments on internal and external networks.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security appliances.
- Investigate suspicious activities, analyze logs, and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (NIST, ISO, HIPAA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network administration.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common attack vectors.
- Proven ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations during off-hours.
