Key Responsibilities
- 24/7/365 Security Monitoring: Monitor security alerts, logs, and events across the network to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response & Triageage: Lead the initial triage, containment, and eradication of security breaches, malware, and phishing attempts.
- Forensic Analysis: Conduct detailed post-incident analysis to determine the root cause of security events and improve defensive measures.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for advanced threats that evade standard automated detection tools.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate detailed incident reports, maintain vulnerability assessments, and communicate security risks to stakeholders.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure all security protocols align with NIST, ISO 27001, and internal governance standards.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH, or GIAC (required for remote/NC roles).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, SOC Analysis, or Network Defense.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and scripting (Python or Bash).
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
