Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze logs using Splunk and other SIEM platforms to detect suspicious activities.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, breaches, and malware threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Configure and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network security, SOC operations, or incident response.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, routing, switching, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with Python or scripting for automation is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
- Clearance to work in a corporate environment (U.S. Citizenship required).
