Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux/Windows server environments, ensuring peak performance and security
- Implement and monitor network security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) including VM provisioning, auto-scaling, and cost optimization
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups with zero data loss tolerance
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools
- Document system configurations, procedures, and create knowledge base articles
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and mentor junior IT staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server 2016+
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent networking certification required
- AWS/Azure certification (SAA/AZ-104) strongly preferred
- Proven experience with virtualization (VMware/KVM) and containerization (Docker/K8s)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with root-cause analysis methodologies
- Ability to work flexible hours for on-call rotations
