Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
- Diagnose and resolve system outages, performance bottlenecks, and security incidents
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
- Document system configurations, procedures, and maintenance schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business goals
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in system administration with enterprise-level infrastructure
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS services
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or Microsoft Azure Administrator preferred
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) and ticketing systems
- Ability to work flexible hours during system maintenance windows
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
