Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance microservices in cloud-native environments
- Lead code reviews and drive best practices across distributed teams
- Debug complex system issues during peak traffic windows
- Collaborate with DevOps to optimize CI/CD pipelines for night shift workflows
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to technical roadmap planning for next-gen features
- Automate testing and deployment processes for 24/7 system reliability
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development (Python/Java/Go)
- Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container orchestration
- Strong background in distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues under pressure
- Experience mentoring technical teams and driving engineering excellence
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent written communication for async global collaboration
- Must be available for US night shift (8 PM - 4 AM EST)
