About the Role:
In this critical position, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will work closely with our engineering teams to secure our cloud infrastructure, manage firewalls, and conduct penetration testing. This is a fully remote position for candidates in the Phoenix metropolitan area or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on web and network infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Monitor network traffic for anomalies and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Perform forensic analysis and root cause analysis for security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and SOAR platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container security.
