Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activities and potential security breaches using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before attackers do.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with incident response teams to mitigate threats.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Perform daily security audits and patch management to ensure system integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Proven experience in SOC analysis, network security, or information assurance.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for security automation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with high urgency.
