Responsibilities
- Monitor and Detect: Continuously monitor network traffic and systems for suspicious activities, intrusions, and vulnerabilities using SIEM tools.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the response to security breaches, ensuring rapid containment and recovery.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Security Architecture: Assist in designing and implementing robust security protocols and firewalls.
- User Training: Educate staff on security best practices and phishing awareness programs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Network+ preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools like Splunk, Wireshark, FireEye, or similar SIEM/IDS systems.
