Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Handle backup/recovery procedures and disaster planning initiatives
- Automate system tasks using PowerShell/Bash scripting and configuration management tools
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues across enterprise systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document IT infrastructure changes and maintain compliance standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols (TCP/IP, VPN)
- Proficiency with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours for system maintenance windows
