Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct thorough security assessments and vulnerability scanning of internal and external networks.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, performing containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and execute penetration testing strategies to identify weaknesses in our systems before attackers do.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and improve system resilience.
- Maintain compliance documentation and ensure adherence to industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Strong proficiency with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting for automation and security tools.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
