Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and neutralize threats in real-time
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on enterprise systems
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Investigate security incidents and develop remediation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Document security procedures and prepare executive incident reports
- Stay updated on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection or incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with penetration testing tools (Metasploit, Burp Suite)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote settings
- Excellent written communication for security documentation and reporting
