Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architectures
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and incident response for high-stakes environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive security roadmaps
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and DoD security standards
- Mentor junior security professionals through knowledge-sharing sessions
- Lead security awareness training for non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with network security protocols
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence tools
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills for complex threat modeling and risk assessment
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (sponsorship provided)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
