Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced network security protocols including IDS/IPS systems
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across hybrid environments
- Lead incident response coordination for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Develop automation scripts for security monitoring using Python and PowerShell
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor junior engineers through security workshops and code reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering with hands-on experience in threat detection
- Active CISSP or CISM certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption standards
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong scripting abilities in Python or Bash for security automation
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder alignment
